How much does it cost for an illustration of your home?
The actual pictures are full A3 size (approximately 42cm
x 30cm) and double mounted. Mary Casserley works on acid
free watercolour paper (140 lb weight quality).
The cost is £200 per mounted picture and includes travel of less
than 1 hour from Berkhamsted, Herts.
If your project involves more travelling then please contact Mary
to get an idea of what it will cost. Most people find that the
cost is not really prohibitive. As stated above, Mary is also quite
happy to work from a photograph.
Once you have bought your portrait it is entirely your property,
Mary keeps a photocopy for her own reference, but the image is
yours. Some people like to scan them and turn them into place mats,
party invitations, postcards and much much more. Businesses may
use the image as part of their corporate stationary or on their
web site.
Picture Framing Service
If you wish to buy a handmade wood frame for your picture then
a picture framing service can be provided by Toto
Mellet of Berkhamsted. Alternatively you may wish to buy
your own frame independantly to suite the style of your decor.
The method of working with pen and ink with water colour
Working in pen and ink with transparent water colour washes,
it is Mary's amazing attention to the smallest things - from
doorbells and letter boxes to specific flowers in the garden
and the correct style of bricks on the chimney that make Mary's
houses unique. Throughout her lifetime, Mary has created hundreds
of private commissions - affordable "house portraits" of family
homes, first home portraits, dream home paintings or simply
portraits of homes with significant sentimental value. Her
paintings have "travelled" as far away as Asia, Australia and
the United States as well as from coast to coast across Britain.
It is her greatest pleasure to be able to provide an original
and meaningful piece of art that captures a special memory
for its owner. Mary can create a home portrait that your family
will treasure for years to come. |
